AD Ports Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with offshore wind manufacturer Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. to explore cooperation in offshore wind logistics, port infrastructure, and vessel investment.

The agreement expands AD Ports Group’s growing presence in the offshore renewables sector following recent partnerships with Masdar, Siemens Energy, and Green Parrot, alongside its acquisition of Spain-based Balenciaga Astilleros Shipyard, which specialises in offshore wind construction.

Under the MoU, both companies will assess opportunities linked to offshore wind supply chain development in Europe and other international markets.

Areas under consideration include transportation solutions for offshore wind components, pre-assembly hub development, collaboration on offshore wind tenders and industrial projects, as well as fabrication, assembly, and logistics services for offshore energy infrastructure.

Friedrich Portner, Chief Commercial Officer, Maritime & Shipping Cluster, AD Ports Group, said: “We are pleased to partner with Dajin Heavy Industry to jointly work on opportunities that leverage our maritime and logistics capabilities in support of the offshore wind sector, a strategic growth area for us. Together, we aim to deliver more integrated, efficient solutions across the renewable energy value chain.”

Walid Oulmane, Chief Commercial Officer – New Products, Dajin Heavy Industry, added: “This MoU represents an exciting opportunity to combine industrial strength, maritime expertise, and long-term strategic vision. We believe both companies can create meaningful value together in support of the global energy transition.”

The offshore wind sector is expected to see sustained growth over the coming decade, supported by decarbonisation targets and rising renewable energy investment across Europe, Asia, and emerging markets.

Industry forecasts project the offshore wind market to grow from $109 billion in 2026 to $307.5 billion by 2035, underlining increasing demand for offshore infrastructure, maritime transport capacity, and port-centric logistics solutions.
